3 Lush Favorites (From a Recent Convert!)

recent lush favorites

It’s only recently I’ve taken a real interest in makeup and personal care products. For a variety reasons I started going to malls again in 2017 and made a point of going to the Lush store whenever one was available. Going into the stores is such a heady experience with all the smells and colors. Over the past few months, it’s been really fun experimenting and seeing what products work best for my skin. So here are my thoughts on some of the products I’ve used and enjoyed.

Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser

This scrub did wonders for my face during the hot summer months when I was sweating behind the espresso machine at Starbucks. The smell is clean and fresh, not sweet at all. And the exfoliating feeling as you spread it on your face is addictive. My only issue, which should have been obvious to me from the start, is that it takes some extra scrubbing to get all the charcoal marks off your face. So don’t use it if you’re in a hurry. But if you’ve got a little time, I recommend it.

Cup O’ Coffee Face Mask

While the scent was a little too sweet for my taste, my face has never been softer than it was after using this mask of coffee grounds and agave syrup. It’s sticky and sweet like a dessert coffee and the texture was a little unnerving after months of trying to avoid coating myself with coffee grounds at work. But it’s easy to spread on and wipe off for a quick boost and the results were amazing!

9 to 5 Cleansing Cream

I’m incredibly lazy about taking off my makeup. And maybe I could get away with it in college, but definitely not these days. My skin isn’t nearly forgiving enough to let me leave it on overnight. This cream takes off every speck of makeup quicker than anything else I’ve ever tried. Worth every penny.

What Lush products do you use? I’m always looking for more to try so let me know in the comments!
